Dreams Come True is proud to have the support of many young professionals from across the First Coast. This dedicated group, known as the Horizon Board, not only organizes several events and activities each year, but they also help to make a difference in the lives of Dreamers and their families.
Since its start in 2001, the Horizon Board has continued to grow each year. Members include young professionals from many sectors, including marketing and public relations, banking, construction and legal services.
The Horizon Board is tasked with focusing on three key elements that are vital to the growth and success of Dreams Come True:
- Providing Special Times for Dreamers and their families
- Supporting Holiday Donation Drives
- Networking & Motivating Others

Friends of the Horizon Board
In 2010, the Horizon Board expanded their goal to reach out to more individuals by launching Dream Leaders, which is now known as Friends of the Horizon Board.
Developed to encourage acquaintances of the Horizon Board to be more active in supporting Dreams Come True, “Friends” help support the Horizon Board’s mission to make a difference in the lives of local children battling life-threatening illnesses.
The Horizon Board accepts applications for the Friends of the Horizon Board throughout the year. Membership is $20 annually and includes exclusive discounts at Horizon Board annual functions, such as:
- Classic Cornhole Tournament
- Talk Derby to Me (Kentucky Derby Themed Event)
- Pub Crawl
- Happy Hour Socials (Including the Annual Holiday Social)
- New Year’s Eve Celebration
Today, this group is actively involved and consists of many individuals who will become future members of the Horizon Board.
